so how is it that they green wash? I wonder if they are energy saving machines..and perhaps you have to use eco safe detergent? Kinda cool!
Thanks for stopping by my blog even though I dissapeared for a while and am still having a hard time making a come back ;-) Glad you liked the birdy pics :)
"Greenwashing" is (also) when a business claims to be environmentally-conscious ("green") but really isn't doing much for the environment. So, when we drove by Eco Laundry and the Hubs commented "greenwashing," I thought it was a hilarious play on words and made him turn around so I could take a picture.
Really, we're not sure if this laundromat does anything to be more green. Maybe they do. Maybe they just claim to. Or maybe "Eco" actually stands for "economical," as in, cheap.
So there are the words to go with the Wordless Wednesday. Hope I didn't burst anyone's bubble!
I think I may be the only "mommy blogger" who's not actually a mommy. But what better time to start learning about kids than before you have them, right? So The Little Stuff of Life (LSL) is about me researching different baby products, thinking through parenting styles, learning about children from others.
I'm far from having it all figured out, so feel free to comment on your experience, advice and opinions - whether you have kids or not. You are welcome to disagree with me or sources I reference, but please be respectful of others' opinions.
Besides researching for the future, LSL is about things I'm doing now, which I like to call "pre-pre-baby stuff." (To me, "pre-baby" = prenatal = you're expecting. We're not even to that point yet, hence "pre-pre-baby.") My husband (who I affectionately refer to here as "the Hubs") and I like to read, travel, cook, and spend time with our families. We've been on the lookout for ways to be less wasteful and kinder to our environment. I also run my own business (see boldavenue.com), so sometimes I'll give an update on that or post gift ideas.
Thanks for being part of The Little Stuff of Life!
Dude!! I didn't know such a thing existed!! Cool!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to know what they mean by green washing? In what ways are they green? Possibly they can be duplicated around the world.

Possibly it is the in thing to be associate with 'green' or 'eco.' And it could simply mean 'economical' as you said. :)
