  5. My Hubs took that photo. :) It's actually an ocotillo, which is a desert plant. You can see it from another angle in the third photo of this post. There's also a good photo of one in bloom on wikipedia.

  12. Very nice capture. It really makes you look twice. Had it not been captured in that manner, I probably wouldn't have looked twice.

  13. ABW: I could see fingers. Or maybe giant octopus tentacles reaching down into the sea-?

Carrie: It's green in Arizona. Beautiful winter days like that remind us why we suffer through the summers. :)

  14. I'm back to say you've been the only person who picked up on all three elements in juxtaposition...the ne building, the old building and the tree: new vs old...and man made vs nature. Most only noticed the buildings. I wish I had a prize to give you :-)

  15. Someone else whose husband likes to take pictures of nature :-) I've got memory cards full of pictures of flowers, etc!

That's the not subject this week. I finally found our camera, and this is the first picture I promised a blogging friend I'd take :-)

    Come visit!

  18. ocotillo? That's the word I couldn't think of I wanted to ask if it was one of those plants. Thanx for providing the name so I don't lose sleep over it. :) Cuz I would, you know?

  20. June: That's very cool! Thanks for coming back. :) (Thought I replied here yesterday, but now I don't see my comment. Hmmm...)

Allison: Actually both of us like to take photos, so we kind of hand the camera back and forth. I figure the nature stuff is fine as long as we remember to take pics of people as well.

Lisa's chaos: Glad I could help you not lose sleep. :)
