You got a problem with that?

I know there's a lot of different opinions out there about breastfeeding in public. But I'm not sure why. I feel like, as long as everything's covered up, go for it. If you're comfortable doing it, feed that kid!

Since I didn't see what the big deal was, I asked the Hubs about it - to get a guy's opinion.

He has the same opinion as I do.

So...I'm interested to know...what is it that people have a problem with?

  1. Some of the sadvocates of breastfeeding in public actually don't use cover-ups and don't feel the need to do so. I must admit that even after three kids and being a huge supporter of breastfeeding, it still makes me uncomfortable when a baby isn't being nursed discreetly in a public place... I've also been on the other end where I was asked by an employee at SeaWorld to go to the nursing room (aka rocking chair in the bathroom) to nurse my baby even though I was using an nursing cover and that was frustrating. And I don't think anyone should have to EAT in a bathroom. yuk.

  2. Why do you were asked to go in the "nursing room"? Do you think that's Sea World's policy? Or just that employee's preference?

And, I'm with you on the yuck factor! Even if the baby doesn't notice, it's not like *you* want to sit in the bathroom for 40 minutes - or however long it takes your baby to nurse. :P

What do you have to say about that?
