Wow! That's different!
ReplyDeletecracker jacks...there's always a surprise inside :). i love how they're simple prizes (no lights, sounds or crazy stuff like that).
ReplyDeleteSo fun and nostalgic-y! You are so creative.
ReplyDeleteI just watched an old movie where a kid was eating cracker jacks...made me miss them. We were so easily contented back then :-)
ReplyDeleteJune: Seemed a little wrong that mine came out of a bag (shouldn't they be in a box?), but what can you do? Things change. :)
ReplyDeleteHow Funny LOL, the little joys in life eh :) Happy WW
ReplyDeleteI love that stuff! Used to love those waxy boxes and the stuff inside. Always seemed kind of old-fashioned, and I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI can smell Cracker Jack right now. Now I have to go buy some. :)
ReplyDeleteSukhmandir Kaur: Absolutely!
ReplyDeleteAlvis: Bon appetit! :)
Wow! I haven't seen Cracker Jacks in years! I loved those just for the toy surprise :)
ReplyDeleteI have never seen nor tried Cracker Jacks. I'm from Singapore, part of Asia.
ReplyDeleteI so want to try those. :P
Momisodes: Yep, they're still out there! :)
ReplyDeleteECL: I've known several people from Singapore and learned even more about it from your blog, but I didn't know they don't have Cracker Jacks!
ReplyDeleteIt's a snack with popcorn and peanuts covered in caramel. There's always some kind of prize inside the package, like a simple game or toy ring. In this case it was a picture of young Abraham Lincoln that you could fold to look like Lincoln as an adult (a bit out of the ordinary but it was his 200th birthday this year).
We associate this snack with baseball games, but that's not the only time we eat Cracker Jacks. Since it's been around a long time, there's a lot of nostalgia associated with it for people who grew up in the U.S. Something you'll have to try if you're ever in the States!
Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the information and taking the time to explain to me. I appreciate that. I'll definitely try Cracker Jack if I travel to USA. :)
