Menu plan: Week of 3/2/2009

Loved the feedback I got on last week's menu plan, so I decided to share again this week!

I ended up making some changes on the fly to last week's menu - which just means I get to recycle some of the ideas for this week. (Efficient? Or lazy? You decide!)

One big thing I'm taking into consideration this week is that the Hubs gets his braces tightened Tuesday, so I'm planning on softer foods most of the week and hoping we don't have to use the food processor so much. Or revert to oatmeal. But ya do what ya gotta do.

  • Monday - Stir fry. (No peanuts for the Hubs, though!)
  • Tuesday - Lentil soup with E and Christine, take two!
  • Wednesday - Salmon (on sale at Sunflower!) with veggies
  • Thursday - Chili-topped sweet potatoes
  • Friday - Pasta salad
  • Saturday - Pizza
Sorry I'm not quite as detailed this week. It's just one of those weeks where I'm going to be figuring out a lot of things as I go. At least I have a starting point.

  1. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. It felt good to have a plan ~ we have been good about not letting things spoil-we hit the produce store every couple of days.

I always buy paper products and box stuff when it is on sale.

Menu planning is a bit weird since I am inventorying what I have and making a list to make up the complete meal.

I am definitely going to keep at this!

  2. Jen: Glad to hear you're sticking with the menu planning! It's great to have a place to start - even if, (like me) you end up moving a bunch of things around. :)

  3. Great menu plan! Our DD13 is in braces and we adjust for softer foods when she's in pain from an adjustment...thankfully, for her sake, it seems only to be a day. I remember what that feels like - not fun. Please join in again next week! Have a great day!

What do you have to say about that?
